Varna is situated on the West coast of the Black Sea and is a major industrial, cultural and tourist center. Varna has an official population of 400,000 inhabitants. In fact, the region is home to even more than a million people. Varna is the third largest city in Bulgaria, after Sofia and Plovdiv.
Varna is a modern European metropolis. Near downtown, there are large residential areas. In the city there are chain stores and shopping centers, exhibitions, offices and banks, as well as new business and technology parks.
